Roofing Warranty in Myrtle Beach, SC
A roof is only as good as what stands behind it. Every Golden Roofing install comes with real coverage on the materials and on our hands.
Two Layers of Coverage
What Actually Stands Behind Your Roof
One warranty covers the product. The other covers the people who installed it. You need both, and you should be able to read both.
Almost every roof failure we're called out to fix is an installation problem, not a manufacturing one. A flashing detail done wrong, fasteners in the wrong place, a valley cut short. That's why the workmanship warranty is the one worth reading carefully — it's the coverage that applies to the things most likely to actually go wrong.
Ours runs up to twenty-five years. Alongside it, as a GAF certified contractor, we install to the manufacturer's own standards, which is what lets your roof qualify for GAF material coverage from five to twenty-five years depending on the system. Both documents get handed to you at the end of the job.
The Coverage
Written Terms, Handed to You at the End
No asterisks buried in a brochure. Here is what each part of the coverage does.
Up to 25 Years
Workmanship
If it was our hands, it's our responsibility. Installation errors are ours to come back and fix, for the full term written on your document.
5 – 25 Years
Materials
Manufacturer-backed coverage on the roofing system itself, with the term matched to whichever system you choose during the estimate.
GAF Certified
Installation Standard
Our installs meet the manufacturer's own requirements for fastening, underlayment, and ventilation — which is what keeps the material coverage valid.
Why It Holds
What Makes a Warranty Worth Anything
A guarantee is only as good as the company standing behind it and the install underneath it.
-
Local, Not a Storm Chaser
Out-of-state crews leave after the season. A warranty needs somebody still here in year ten.
-
Installed to Manufacturer Spec
GAF certification means the install itself meets the standard the coverage assumes.
-
Ventilation Done Right
Most material warranties require adequate airflow. We balance it as part of the job.
-
Documented With Photos
Deck, underlayment, and details photographed, so there's a record of how it was built.
-
One Company to Call
The people who installed it answer the phone. No claims department in another state.
-
In Writing, Not Verbal
You leave the job with paper. A guarantee nobody wrote down isn't a guarantee.

Warranty Questions Worth Asking Any Roofer
Six things to ask before you sign with anybody on this coast, including us.
Workmanship Term
How many years, and is that number written on a document you get to keep?
Manufacturer Certification
Is the installer certified, and does that certification affect your material coverage?
What Voids It
Ask specifically. Vague answers here are the most expensive kind of vague.
Transfer to a Buyer
If you might sell, ask whether the coverage moves with the house.
Storm Damage Treatment
Wind and hail are almost always insurance, not warranty. Know which is which.
Will They Still Be Here
A twenty-five year promise from a company that leaves after hurricane season is worth nothing.
Making a Claim
What Happens If Something Goes Wrong
Four steps, and none of them involve a call center.
-

What you're seeing and roughly when it started is enough to get us moving.

Same free inspection process, with your original job photos on hand.

-
We Put It Right
If it's covered, we fix it. That's the entire policy, and it's in writing.
Warranty FAQs
Understanding Your Roof Coverage
Material coverage comes from the manufacturer and pays if the shingles themselves are defective. Workmanship coverage comes from us and pays if the installation was wrong. Most roof failures are installation, not manufacturing, which is why the second one matters more day to day.
